Ambiguity Is The Enemy

At least for programmers.

Ambiguity slows things down and creates opportunities for errors and confusion. Ambiguity leads to searching through documentation, chasing threads through code, sending emails, and scheduling meetings.

Ambiguity is the enemy, but it won't stop it from trying to be your friend. It will say pleasant things to you like, "it's good enough" and "they'll know what you mean." It will always let you off the hook and never ask more than the minimum. It's an easy companion, but it won't help you get to where you want to go, and if you do make it there, it won't be quick. No, Ambiguity is not your friend; your real friend is Clarity.
